Hiked this trail with my 72 yr old uncle. We started early, but took our time ascending and descending. Eventually got caught out in the sun on the way down. It was very hot and we started running out of water close to the end! Would recommend hitting this trail early (6am ish) and taking lots of water as most of the trail is exposed and in the sun. Made it down safely and had a nice time overall. Great views of Jerome/Cottonwood and behind Thunder Mountain.
