I started the hike at 6. I was a bit unprepared and forgot my sunglasses and hat so I had a little more difficult time dealing with the very limited shade the trail offers especially when there was no breeze. I was more winded off this hike than Mt Wilson. The hike itself however was relatively easy and had beautiful views of the San Francisco peaks to the north and the buttes and red rocks of Sedona to the southeast. Overall was a nice peaceful hike. No hikers until my way back when I met some fellow 6Pack challengers in the middle of the 2nd “rock climb”.
