It was definitely chilly initially but warmed up quick! Blue skies and gorgeous. Windy as to be expected at the top. Saw quite a few people as we hiked but were mostly alone as we hiked which was cool because this is one of the hikes I hear talked about often in SD and there were a ton of cars parked on the main road that leads to the trailhead. I was grateful my bestie and I had my brother cause we got kind of confused about how the peak looped back around – felt like we were in some kind of twilight zone haha but I think we were just giddy from all the fresh air. Loved this hike and would definitely do it again!
