Gorgeous day on Black Butte. Started the hike with Jeff and David from the lower trailhead making for a long day on the Butte. The trial between the upper and lower trailheads was in good condition and mostly snow free. Once you hit a mile (or so) to the summit the trail ends and people have just walked straight over the snow to the peak. I would definitely recommend MICROspikes if you want to safely make it to the top!

Fantastic views of the Oregon Cascades and even Mt. Adams in the distance. There is a great deck on the far side of the summit to bask in some sun and take in the views!

Stopped for a well earned lunch and beer at Three Creeks Brewery in Sisters on our way back to Bend.
