Weather was perfect with excellent trail conditions. I felt really strong throughout the hike with no real achy ness until the last couple of miles.
We started early at 6:15 a.m. and it was still dark out. The trailhead is in a housing track and was a little challenging to see due to few streets light and it being dark. In the light of day, it was much easier to see trailhead and identifiers. Thank goodness the bugs weren’t bad at all today.
Taking this route was really pretty but longer than Chantry. It ended up being 18 miles total. So happy to have bagged our first peak of 2018 and this challenge. Woot!
