What a beautiful day for a hike!! Got to the parking lot at 6:30am and it was already packed. There is a restroom at the trailhead which is a plus after driving 2 hours from San Diego. The first part of the trail was kind of paved and covered with dirt so a few cars were driving up as we started. So cool to see like a ski chalet on our way up especially since my husband forgot his hydration pack. He was able to fill up his water bottle and he got use the restroom.
We took the Devil's Backbone trail on the way up which was pretty steep as you get closer to the peak. The peak had nice views and not too windy so it was nice to have lunch on top. There were way more people than I expected since the last weeks I did weren't too crowded at all. Even so a unicyclist on the way up! On our way down we took the trail towards the Ski Hut trail and it was pretty rock with a steep decline down. But the views were beautiful!
So happy to complete hike #5!!

I meant to say the trailhead was located at Manker Flats:)
