This is my 4th peak in the So Cal Six-Pack-of-Peaks challenge. I hiked up to the summit and gently ran down on Friday, April 30. I started at 12:00 pm (late!???? but I had a morning obligation) and finished at 3:40 pm. No issues with parking. I looked up weather reports ahead of time and they predicted 0-5 mph winds and temperatures in the 50s at the summit which sounded great. It turned out to be a beautiful but hot day (it felt like it was in the 70s/80s at the top) and there was no wind on the trail or summit. I wore capri leggings and a short sleeved shirt and wished I had shorts and a tank. As many in this group have already mentioned, the trail was completely dry. No need for micro spikes at all. Beautiful and clear views. There were not many people on the trail today and there were only 2 other people at the top when I arrived so we had the summit to ourselves. Great way to spend another day off work! I’m rejuvenated!
