Can't say enough good things about the Mt Kendrick trail.  With 4.5 miles to the top and approximately 2600 feet elevation gain, the trail is very manageable.  The views of the surrounding San Francisco Peaks start right away and you can see Mt Humphreys in all its glory on the way up.  The beautiful pine trees and wild flowers litter the trail and you can see for miles on out.  There's a small plateau near the lookout tower with a cabin.  The weather gods blessed me with no rain but hovering monsoon clouds making the hike a cool 9 miles round trip.  I couldn't ask for a better day.
