The hike began in freezing conditions at 6am. Despite the cold, the view was incredible. As the day progressed, it became hot in the middle of the hike. When I was 1.9 miles away from the top, I felt like giving up. However, with the encouragement of my partner, I persevered and reached the summit. He insisted I experience the view for myself, and I am grateful that I did. It's funny how going back down always seems faster. Nonetheless, descending was a stunning sight, with the shadows cast on the rocks and the breathtaking beauty of the trees.
