On October 12th, I have completed the final hike of the 6-peak challenge at Mt. Saint Helena. The day began with an early start, followed by a drive that took over an hour and a half from my home in San Ramon to the trailhead. This time, the hiking group had expanded, with a couple of wives decided to join in.
The weather was in our favor, with pleasant temperatures and clouds that made the atmosphere even more serene and perfect for a hike. The start, however, tested your endurance. The first mile was a tough stretch—rocky terrain making each step a challenge, requiring careful footing and concentration. But as we pushed through that rough beginning, the trail eventually smoothed out, becoming much more enjoyable.
As we continued, the landscape opened up, revealing stunning views of the valley below. The sight of rolling hills and distant stretches of greenery, clouds overhead, making the effort feel worthwhile. The combination of great company, beautiful views, and the relief of finishing the challenge made this final hike a fitting close to my journey across six peaks.
