We parked on side of road (parking lot closed) and started out around 8:45. It was gorgeous, sunny weather with a little wind and a muddy trail in some sections. I'm glad I had long pants and a long sleeve shirt to keep me from getting scratched up on the narrow part of the trail. An easy hike until the last mile, it was very steep and slippery with loose gravel. I slipped on way down even with poles anchored down. It was a great way to celebrate 34 years of marriage with my husband and special friends.
