Fun adventure! The winter gate is closed in Millcreek Canyon, so we biked 3 miles from the winter gate to the Alexander Basin Trailhead. From there we hiked with our skis to the top. Snow covered about 1 mile in. Spikes helpful but not necessary. We were able to hike all the way to the top. Some branches and tree obstacles across trail, but easy to navigate. We skied down a good distance before taking off the skis and hiking the rest of the way down. Our dog enjoyed the outing. The downhill bike from the trailhead to our parked car was a breeze!
