I have done echo can and many times and each time is thrilling. Though there is a trail from top to bottom there are multiple routes that you could use depending if you wanted more of an upper body or lower leg workout feeling bad about this, especially in the winter is that it is very crowded, parking is limited and there are a lot of people that what to accomplish the challenge. Many are visitors and don’t know trail etiquette but I have noticed more people wearing appropriate treaded shoes.
This morning was even more special as after numerous climbs, I was with a woman who knew where “the eye” of the camel Entrance was located as it is a bit off trail. It provided a wonderful opportunity for a small group discussion in Bible study. This hike never disappoints as it provides a quick challenging workout right in the heart of Phoenix. But warning, out of towners need to bring water and treaded shoes.
