- About 5 miles of dirt road to get to the trailhead. The hike is persistently and steadily uphill with no flat spots. The hike only gets more difficult as you go from small rocks in dirt to large rocks watching your step. Hiking and enjoying the view are not simultaneous acts. One can stop to enjoy the beautiful view at any point of the hike but I suggest stopping to do so.
