While the views of the bay area (Santa Clara valley and eastward) on the hike up were expansive, I much preferred the views at the peak. Looking west, green as far as the eye can see. So many wildflowers in bloom. Spectacular!! Along the trail, just as it starts to climb, I came across a bee hive in the trunk of a tree. Reminded me of Winnie the Pooh and the Berenstein Bears.
