Easy hike from where we started, about 5.5 miles round trip. It was chilly but not overly cold. We pushed it, getting back before dark time-wise. The ranger was waiting for us. We saw lots of deer, kind of followed the herd around. Also went past the backpacking camp site. Might be a neat thing to do.
