We started at 6 am and a head lamp was necessary for the first 40 min. The trail.was easy to see. Ten minutes from the ski hut, there was a 20ft stretch of black ice. We decided to put on our micro spikes on. After the ski hut wearing them was a good idea. Once we were at the summit, it was super cold because of the wind. Gloves and snow gear made it tolerable. One the way down, You had to be careful because the Sun started melting the ice and it became slushy and slippery. Over all, it was a beautiful hike.
