My friend and I started the hike early at 7:00 am after driving from Imperial Beach, CA. It was a misty, foggy morning with blustery winds that got worse as you got closer to the summit. The trail conditions were wet and a little slippery due to the rain, and there were a few patches of snow here and there off to the side of the trail. We both felt fine hiking that morning and enjoyed the hike, as well as getting out and getting some exercise in on a Saturday morning. It would have been nice to have a clear morning to be able to see and enjoy the beautiful scenery, but hiking in rough conditions makes for a good and different experience also. I'll have to come back and complete this hike again to take in the beautiful views.
