Wednesday 9/21 – Day 5 of 6, hike5 of 6.

The parking lot is right by the St Vincent de Paul Ranch Camp.  Directions were good. Road was fine. The trailhead is through the camp so follow the road into and through the camp. I’ll admit that I looked around for 20 minutes thinking there was no way that the trailhead was on the other side of the camp.

The scramble up to Broadcast peak is a little rough, but doable with poles. I decided to hike past Broadcast peak to join up with the West Camino trail to head back to the Tequepis trail.  West Camino is fire service road so if you do not want to do the scramble, you can just extend the hike a little bit and take the forest service road.

Great trail.  No issues once I found the trailhead.  I didn’t get great views at the top due to cloud coverage, but at least it wasn’t hot.
