The trail is rocky, there is no shade but we were lucky as it was mostly overcast until the tail end of the hike. Everything is still green and wild flowers are still blooming. Opted not to scramble to the top as risky, although the college students were. Just not into bouldering as that’s what it would entail. You can see in my cover photo.
