Overall the trail was in good shape, though there were a few spots where I felt microspikes were necessary, particularly the descent following the 3rd false peak; after that microspikes were unnecessary. TBH the only issues I had were that both bathrooms smelled horrible. And I mean, I went back to the car to get something to cover my mouth/nose with so I wouldn’t have to smell it .. and the stench ended up permeating my clothes so that I could still smell the bathroom miles later . After last week’s saunter to Cuyamaca Peak, I really missed the flush toilets and sink.
