Because I throughly worked The Devil's Backbone on my summit of Mt. Baldy today! I went up and back via the Backbone.  I started at just before 9 AM made it all the way to the top by 1 PM-ish I wanna say? So were a lot of other people – it was pretty packed up there. There was no sign at the top so I took a few photos of the plaque and a couple of scenic views from the summit. Then I headed back down and was back to my car by 3:30 PM.  Note: there's basically no real snow on the trail but there are a few times you have step over or briefly on a small section of snow but nothing that requires any special traction devices. I expect even those little patches will be gone in the coming weeks. I find this hike is super challenging because of the steep sections but luckily my training over the past year has made me better at handling that stuff.
