With clear skies and the temperature rising to 70F, plenty of hikers came out to enjoy some camaraderie and the fantastic hiking conditions. The steep steps, handrails, and boulders can be relied on for a memorable experience and sense of adventure, likely contributing to the hike being so popular. The views provided a more than ample reward, which included Four Peaks, McDowells, Superstitions, Phoenix Mtns., the Phoenix area, and much more, as well as the spectacular rock formations along the hike, including the Praying Monk.
The trail was in great shape and well-signed. Starting a little earlier seemed to improve the likelihood of finding a parking spot.
