Our hike was an extra 1.5 miles due to parking.  Saturday morning the week between Christmas and New Years was probably not the optimum day for this hike, with regards to hiker volume…BUT the weather was great and there was a nice breeze.  The hike was challenging, but we made it to the top and back again without incident.  The last 1/4 to the peak is a lot of rock climbing/scrambling.
