We hiked Camel's Hump on the very sunny Saturday of Father's Day Weekend. We arrived to the trail head around 10:00 AM, and the lot was already full. Lots of people (and bugs!) were taking advantage of this beautiful day. Recent rains left the trail muddy. The walk up was challenging, but doable, and our pup, Deke loved the walk. At one point on the trail we heard that several Connecticut College employees and alums (of which I am) were also on the mountain. Our mascot is the camel, so the meeting was serendipitous! The top yielded beautiful 360-degree views of the Adirondacks, Lake Champlain, Mount Mansfield, and much more.
