We started at 9:45 am from the Bald Mountain parking lot. Only one car in the parking lot. Toilets were decently maintained. Then we crossed the road to hike up to the summit. It was low 40s, but felt chiller than that. Hardly any wind. The trail was mostly in the shade and you can see frost on the leaves and areas that were icy. Gradual incline and switchbacks that were pretty monotonous until you get the amazing panoramic views from Guadalupe Creek Overlook and the final summit. According to my garmin watch, it was a 4 mile hike to the top and another 4 miles back to the lot. We decided to hike the 3/4 mile to Bald Mountain and that was a pretty nice cool down. Slight steep to the top and easy going back to the lot.
