We got to the trailhead at 7:00 and got the last parking spot-this lot really does fill early! It was a chilly day but beautiful. The big leaf maples were in full fall glory, the lower part of the trail was resplendent in golden colors. Higher up, we watched the mist roll in. Very beautiful trail, but very busy. Rangers were out on the trail keeping people safe – and also checking permits.
