It was my first SPOP hike of the year so, starting off with Sitton was the right choice. Our group came together, a long with some new friends, to make this fun and memorable hike. We started around 7:15am, with temps around mid 40s. Trail was in good condition. Some mud, and frozen patches but, nothing serious. Temps stayed chilly in the shady spots so, the sunny spots were helpful. The skies were clear, and nature was singing. The peak was a busy spot with some folks celebrating a birthday so, the cheery crowd noise, was not what we were expecting. All in all, it was a great day.
