Cinco de Mayo on San Bernardino Peak

Beautiful day of hiking in The San Gorgonio wilderness, summiting San Bernardino Peak and returning in just over 10 hours, 17.5 miles, and 4500 feet of elevation gain. Set off around 6:45 am from the trail head. Views were simply spectacular both going up and down, with the obligatory stops at the “tourist spots” en route. Took in the views of San Jacinto and Old Grayback on the way – will be good to go visit with both of them again later this year as we wind up towards a run at Whitney in early October.
