Beautiful day on Mount San Antonio — aka Mount Baldy — with Team SoCalHiker for the annual Climb for Heroes. This is the fourth year that SoCalHiker has organized a team for the event, and together we raised over $9000 for The Heroes Project.
The start is a little later than I prefer for a summit hike, but the weather was beautiful. We got a group photo by the start line, then headed up. Along the way there were a total of five stations manned by veterans from THP, and it was great to have a chance to meet them, thank them for their service and sacrifice, and be inspired.
It was great talking with so many other hikers from the SoCal community. Almost didn't even notice that we were climbing over 3,000 vertical feet!
