Perfect weather for this hike today! It was a bit windy when out of the trees. The first 2.5 miles is a good uphill climb, but we just took it slow. The last mile was a good push. On the way down our joints were not too happy, but with poles it was easier. Saw deer, coyote, blue jays, quail, and lots of other birds! A challenging hike but enjoyable! The tower was cool as well as the climb up the boulder at the summit! I would not recommend on a hot day as there is little to no shade!
