Started the trail at 7:45 am under a marine layer that provided cooler temps for the day. The trail up was wet with dew and we found several ticks on our wet pant legs. Spectacular views of the ocean. By the time we reached the top the sun was starting to peek through, but the wind and clouds warranted a short summit with no real views. Fire road down was uneventful. Passed several other hikers and a gopher snake trying to sun itself. By the time we finished the sun was out and our pant legs were dry. Lovely morning hike.
