An early start gave us some wonderful views as we made the hike up to the summit. Knowing that there was a chance for thunderstorms later we figured the sooner we got up there the better. This time my mother and I brought along my youngest sister, Sarah as well as my trusty hiking buddy Bella. We were treated to some spectacular waterfalls on our hike up. We were almost too the top when we heard some thunder and made a mad dash to the Lake of the Clouds hut. Once we knew we were safe to continue we had a foggy hike to the summit, so sadly no spectacular views. However I wasn't put off by this because it's Mount Washington! We stopped looking enough to poke around the gift shop where I got a snazzy bandana for Bella! We made our way back down below the fog and got to see the Cog Railway trains going up and down the mountain!
Overall I loved the challenges that this hike threw at me. Bella once again proved herself and earned her moose shaped cookie that I got for her on the drive home today. In two weeks my mother and I set off to Maine to our last mountain!
