The weather was sunny and there were a lot of hikers on the trail. On the way up, I saw two chuckwalla lizards at separate parts of the trail. There were a lot of hikers heading down while I was heading up and a lot of hikers heading up when I was heading down. There were a lot of people at the summit. But I didn't mind. I took pictures and took my time both going up and going down. I talked with a few hikers both on the way up and on the way down. Many of them were hiking Camelback for the first time. When I got down I rested for a while. The Fire Department was at the scene but I didn't know whether they were responding to an emergency or doing a training exercise as nothing happened on my way up and on my way down. I only stayed for a short while then when the parking lot somewhat cleared I left. Camelback Mountain completed the 2021 Winter Challenge for me.
