Even though the signs say 8pm, the gate opened at 7am at the Mitchell Canyon Parking Lot. Make sure you have $6 to put in the envelope so that you can pay the parking free.

I used the Mitchell Creek to Summit guide on AllTrails to guide me.  It was great to follow the GPS cause there’s  so many trails that you can get lost.

This trail is a beast. Up and down rocky Tatiana. Just as you thought you'd gained some high ground with all the uphill inclines, down you go again.   I’m not going to lie my legs were giving out. By the time I got to the summit, I was exhausted!!  However, views are Breathtaking!!

I got my second wind on the way back. Wide trail but super long.  This indeed is the hardest so far. I was Mt Tamaulipas next.  I’m going to need a week or so break after conquering Mt Diablo!
