A great summit day on Timp! We started at 4AM and hit the summit around 1PM. Descended by about 5PM. A long hard day filled with so many great lessons and memories!

On another note, for anyone looking to summit Timp, I would personally recommend waiting until July. The snow is fairly uneven and slushy, especially later in the day during our descent. I heard from another group that they were feeling the floor crack beneath them and were watching avalanches from the Timpooneke route. Unfortunately those guys had to get rescued off the mountain (luckily everyone is good from what I hear!). Regardless, mountaineering gear is definitely needed if you go for it, but I would probably wait a few more weeks!
