The actual mileage was 6.8 miles from the private gate. The trail is very well marked so you wont walk up someone's driveway. Just read the hand painted sign next to the public trashcan. This year we applied last years lessons learned and wore long sleeves and pants so there was zero blood lost this time around. Great hike. Great Weather.
