I drove down from Los Angeles getting to the trailhead at 11:30, a later start than I wanted. It was a cool morning after the week of rains. The weather was perfect for this hike with only a few muddy portions of the path to navigate around. I had the trail to myself only running into one other person and her dog on my way down. I made the treck in just under 3 and a half hours. This is one of my favorite hikes of the San Diego Six Pack and a perfect time of year to be in the southern mountains.
