I hiked this at 12 noon on a Sunday and came back to my car at 4 p.m. I took the hike up super slow.
Great weather that day, it was 80 at the trailhead with no wind. Don't forget to look back as you go up, because the views are gorgeous!
The trail is exposed in some parts, but you can still get shade quite often.
In the first section (before the main saddle), there were lots of bugs that insisted on landing on my eyelashes. So bring a bug net if you can.
A bit of a rock scramble in two sections, but it's fun and easy.
