Started off from parking lot at 6:30am. Few cars and encountered a handful of hikers on the way up. Great conditions all the way to Ice House Canyon Saddle. A bit windy, but at later in the day, helped keep you cool from the sun. Right before the summit, the trail continues onward, but veer right up to the summit. I ended up following the wrong path for quite some time before I realized I was going parallel to the summit instead of ascending to it. The summit was free of other summiteers and had great views. Made good time going back down to trailhead but for some reason, the trail ALWAYS feel longer on the descent, particularly near the cabins… anyone else feel that way? LOL
