Started early thinking we could go before it got crowded. That was not the case. Definitely recommend doing this on a weekday because even a very gray, early Saturday was packed. By the time we got to where the trails merge I remember making the joke “and this reminds me why I never want to do Everest.”

Other than the crowd, it was nice. It is a beautiful area, and there were sooo many cows wondering around, which was fun. I’ve lived in places that had a lot of cows and places with lots of people, but I have never seen that many cows around that many people.

I will very much recommend that when doing this one continue on the trail that loops back under the peak. It’s pretty spectacular and few people seem to take it.
