- I've not done much cold weather hiking so I really enjoyed the crisp morning hiking to to Cuyamaca Peak. We took Azalea Glen Loop, there was a little snow up to Azalea meadow but nothing difficult. We accidently took the wrong turn at meadow and took gravel fire road to paved fire road. It's a steep climb and not as enjoyable as Conejos trail but still got to the peak. Very cold and windy at the top but enjoyed the beautiful views!
