Long, fun, and tough way to officially finish this year’s challenge by bagging both Ontario and Cucamonga on the same hike.

With the snow now gone lots of people are taking advantage and hiking Cucamonga and Ontario. Parking lot was completely full by 6:30 on a Sunday but there were still lots of spots on the road not too far away.

We had decided to head to Ontario first, then bag bighorn, before tackling Cucamonga. This worked out great for us. The trail to Ontario and Big Horn was not crowded at all, and from Big Horn were watched large groups of people descending from Cucamonga. By the time we were finally ascending Cucamonga we virtually had the trail to ourselves and peak to ourselves.
