Loved the fall colors on my hike to Cucamonga and Etiwanda peaks via Icehouse Canyon!
I had done Icehouse Canyon multiple times but noticed new things like petrified wood and a unique rock this time around!
I loved the section from Cucamonga to Etiwanda, felt really well forested with pines. There is no signage at the turnoff to Etiwanda. Last push to Etiwanda is steep with lots of loose rocks, so we had to be careful on the way down. At the summit, it was interesting to see how the trees on one side of the ridge were burned but luckily the trees on the trail side were in tact.
I spent way too much time taking pictures so we ended up getting back right at the last bit of sunlight.
On the way back I saw two deer leaving the Baldy school!
