This was my first ever backpacking adventure. Weather was great, full moon that night. So far, this has been one the most beautiful of my four hikes; enjoyed the variety of the trail and scenery. Love the sound of the water at the beginning of the trail and was so tempted to dive in on the way back. Thought that camping overnight would make the hike down easier and it started that way but the last mile was still exhausting. 🙂 Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded with the other mountains on fire. 🙁 Will do this hike again.
