Amazing views above the clouds! Started out around 6:10am and the parking lot was already getting filled up. Took us a little over 8 hours. I'm 5'4″ and hiking poles definitely helped me – especially on the way down. My partner is 6′ and didn't need them once. Started off cool with the moon still out but took off my long layer within the first mile. A little snow on the way up but manageable. Once we got to the top we were above the clouds and very sunny. By the time we got down it was gray and misting the last 2-3 miles and my long sleeve layer went back on. Great trail!
