Woke up early and on time this time and got to the trail head in time to get great parking, got my things ready and headed off to Cucamonga Peak. It turned out to be a beautiful day even though the weather called for super hot day and heavy winds. Even though it did get warm the winds stay relatively low and ones you hike high enough you wouldn't feel the heat so much, I started early in order to avoid that. Especially now with the heat anyone trying to do big hikes should start early to avoid being out in the heat to long and also carry a lot of water. I'm starting to carry and extra one just incase someone needs one or if I miss calculate how long I will be out or how hot it will get. This hike really pushed me to find that drive I felt I had been missing. Reminding myself that even if i'm not progressing fast just as long as I keep taking steps forward I will achieve my goals. I was so nervous before this hike my stomach was turning and I knew I was pushing my comfort zone again, with that I knew I was on the right path. I made it to the top in 3hr and 34 mins I was beyond happy. On my way down I enjoyed the views back to the saddle and then did a little light running down for about less than a mile haha. Then just kept a good pase back, 2hr 50mins I was blown away.
