Trail was great, super well kept and easy to follow. Views along the way and at the top were spectacular!

Parking was overcrowded which made me think the trail would be too, so I waited to start until a few spots opened up to space my start time from other groups. Didn’t experience a ton of traffic on foot though, which was nice- after the Saddle, barely saw anyone up to the peak. At the top, had some lunch, took a nap in the sun and then enjoyed the view for a little over an hour! Training for the JMT in September and already feel like I’m getting stronger, although it wasn’t easy by any stretch. took my time on the way down as I am new to wearing trail runners (used to wearing boots before), and am still strengthening my ankles/feet. Overall awesome day, clocked 12mi and took about 5.4 hours round trip (minus my long break at the peak).
