Summited the Cucamonga Peak on Friday of May 17, 2024 with a friend of mine. The last 1-2 miles before summit were covered with lots of snow, no trail can be followed, and have to make our own off trail on the snow.  Descending down the summit was extremely difficulty and dangerous. The weather was warm, the snow was soft and slippery , we have to solidify and stabilize each footing even with microspikes . It took us 10 hours to finish. The views on the summit peak were so beautiful, the atmorphere of the top of the world was so serene, making all the hard work worth.  I enjoyed!
