My sixth peak! The parking lot was about 2/3 full when I got there; I was told it fills up by 7am so I guess I lucked out. I started at 7am which is later than I planned. It was cool until I got past the saddle, then the trail was pretty exposed so a bit warmer.  The rock fall area was a little sketchy but just go slow and you’ll be ok

It took me 7 hours total, including meal breaks at the saddle and at the peak. The last two miles on the way back were downright hot. Try to start no later than 6am to beat the worst of the heat if you take your time like me.  The bugs weren’t as bad as a couple of weeks ago; slightly annoying but not bad enough for me to break out my head net.
